sometimes it would clump up even though it had a filter/mixing grid. So i bought this as an experiment to use for mixing my kencko powdered smoothies, the kencko bottle was just too small for me (it's built like a 20oz bottle but only has about 10oz of space for the smoothie) & annoying to clean due to all of it's parts. It's like a harder plastic that can take a beating in a bag, but if you drop it directly on the ground you're possibly going to break it, so try to be careful.
It is made of a stronger material, but I've seen that it won't hold up well if you drop it. Everything cleans right off very quickly.
You can fit a normal sponge, a sponge with a handle, or the bottle cleaners they sell now (I have all 3 and would recommend the bottle cleaning brush that looks like a toilet brush). Super smooth! Since there is no blender ball or any inserts, it is amazingly easy to clean. When I took a sip, it felt like it came straight out of a blender.

I wasn't sure at first, because it looked like some would get stuck in the cracks, but after the full 30 seconds of shaking, there wasn't any in sight. I even put the protein powder in first to make sure it was all down in the crevices like it would be if you were going to put a scoop in and have it ready in your gym bag. It definitely created a little vortex in there and grabbed everything off the bottom. Bought this last week because it had some pretty good reviews compared to others, and I have to admit they're right! I used 1 scoop of Optimum Nutrition protein powder mixed with 1 cup of almond milk and after about 30 seconds of good shaking, every speck of protein was gone. PROS: Easy to use, no blender ball/insert, very smooth drink, easy to clean, nice look! CONS: Could possibly break if you drop it, pricier than a normal blender bottle.
